- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Arrange the tilapia fillets in a single layer in a 9x13-inch baking dish. Season both sides evenly with salt, paprika, and black pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Pour this mixture evenly over the fish. Tuck the lemon slices under and on top of the fillets.
- Bake for 11 minutes, then switch the oven to broil and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes, until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes
For a more intense lemon flavor, use a Meyer lemon if available. To avoid overcooking, check the fish at the 11-minute mark; thicker fillets may need an extra minute. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in a 300°F oven to prevent drying out. This recipe works well with other white fish like cod or haddock. Serve with steamed rice or a simple green salad for a complete meal. For a dairy-free version, substitute the butter with olive oil.
