Grandma Pearl’s Famous Gumdrop Cookies
2 Cups Sugar
1 Cup Shortening
2 Eggs
1/2 Cup Milk
1 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Lemon Flavoring
2 Cups Gum Drops Cut Into Pieces
4 Cups Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt (Optional)
May Add Nuts If You Fancy That!
Cream together the 2 cups of sugar and the 1 cup of shortening, then add the 2 eggs and mix well.
Add everything else to the mix except the flour which you will add a little at a time until the dough doesn’t stick to your fingers anymore.
Spoon out dallops of the dough onto a greased cookie sheet and cook at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Hope you have good luck with this….I usually add more gumdrops!
